48 × 32 PIXELS · ONE PHONE EACH · ONE PICTURE — THIS IS WHAT THE CROWD IS FORMING RIGHT NOW

Your phone is one pixel of the picture.

Join the crowd and Stadium uses your phone's GPS to place you in a block of the big picture. When the moment comes, your screen lights up with your pixel's color — and the whole stand becomes the image.

1

Join and allow location. GPS puts you in a pixel block a few meters wide — everyone in your block shows the same color.

2

Set the center. Whoever runs the show taps “Use my location as stadium center” — or test it anywhere: a park, a yard, a living room.

3

Hold it up. Your screen becomes your pixel, full-screen and locked awake, while the operator changes pictures or scrolls a billboard across the crowd.

Location is used only on this screen, on this device, to work out your pixel. Nothing is sent or saved anywhere.

Pixel block size

Phone GPS is usually accurate to about 5–10 m, so a pixel is a block, not a seat — everyone in the block gets the same color, which makes the picture stronger.
